2009/04/04: Daredevils

A short summary for the rest of the Champs team members (i think we should do this so that everyone is in the loop).

- Champs win toss and elect to bat

1st Innings:
- Some accurate bowling restricts us to 6/2 in 5 overs and soon 6/3
- Andy's counter attack (24 n.o) blunts Daredevils and we have a respectable 33/4 at end of 10 overs
- Gokul (13) and Puneet (10 off 8) show class with a good partnership to recover from 48/7 to 63/8
- Sreeram hits a boundary and the next ball throws the bat past the boundary line while the ball lands safely in the keeper's gloves :)
- Sandeep/Puneet make sure we play the 20 overs out and also score runs to get us to a good score of 84

2nd Innings:
- Bowling was a little wayward - too many down the leg side wides
- Spectacular fielding effort turned the game around:
- Awesome catches by Abhi, Sreeram, Nimish (c&b), Puneet
- Good pick-up and throws by Gokul, Andy for 2 close run-outs
- Nagesh and Kunal (off only 7 balls!) pick-up 3 wickets each
- Sreeram spell was awesome - unfortunately batsmen are not good enough to touch the deliveries :-(
